Hooters Energy Drink

Will:
When i saw the Hooters energy drink for the first time, i knew i had to get it. What could be better than Hooters AND energy? It cost the same as most energy drinks around here, about $2.50. It was worth every penny.

I was sort of surprised by its neon orange color, but it proved to be a delightfully sweet orange flavor. When i took the first sip, i did not like it. At all. It was a disgusting waste of my money. But i forced myself to take another drink. Then i took another. And another. Suddenly, this disgusting drink was delicious. i have no idea why it went from being so, so bad to so delicious. But it was a good thing, so i went along with it. It has a very good flavor that reminds me of some kind of orange soda, but with an obvious energizing kick mixed in.

The Hooters Energy can gets an A+. It features a hot Hooters girl on a metallic background, with the hooters owl. What could be better? The color layout was even pleasing to me (though not as much as the Hooters girl). Its silver metal background with white words and orange outline looks pretty good to me.

The energy provided by Hooters Energy Drink isn't perfect, but its not horrible either. As with most funny or interesting drinks, it was pretty average. Not disappointing, but not exciting either. It was enough to get me through a 4 mile walk with my friends, but i wouldn't count on it to keep me up and on my feet for hours.

Overall the Hooters Energy Drink was a good buy. Its great can, cool flavor, and moderate energy made for a relaxing drink that will surely be the topic of a few stories with my friends.

Monster Energy: Assault

Will:
One of the first flavors of Monster Energy I tried was the red Assault flavor. I got it at a gas station, at the beginning of a 6 hour car ride. Bad idea. I definitely should not have drunk an energy drink before having to sit still for 6 hours. It was worth it though. I got to try a new flavor of my favorite energy drink.

The flavor of the Assault is somewhat cherry. of course, it has the traditional "taste of Monster" hint in the background, but its overwhelming flavor is cherry. To me, it tasted like someone took cherry cough syrup, mixed it with monster and soda, and made it taste GOOD. It had the taste of a cherry soda, with the aftertaste of cherry cough syrup. As unsavory this sounds, it was actually pretty good.

As always, the Assault can was a hit. It comes in two varieties. The first one was a cammo design, but in shades of black, white, and gray. The second and newer design is the same basis, but with digital cammo instead or regular. i'm not sure if they still sell the regular cammo ones, because all i've seen in the store recently was the digi-cammo.

The energy provided by Assault seemed tremendous the first time i drunk it. This might be because of the fact that it was one of my first energy drinks, and i wasn't used to such energy. Or maybe it was because i was stuck in a car for 6 hours. Whichever it was, it has a decent level of energy, as expected from Monster.

Monster Energy: Russian

Will:
I got this new flavor of Monster today, and was a little bit skeptical. I've never heard anything but good about it, but i had my doubts. The last Java Monster i tried, i didn't like as much as i could have. But this was was very different. It blew me out of the metaphorical water. I loved. It was a great flavor of coffee, with the "taste of Monster" mixed into the background.

The can on this Monster is a beast. Its one of my favorite Monster cans, if not my number one favorite. It has an old Soviet Union look about it. The lettering at the top looks like it was written in Russian, the background is some old looking red textured thing. I don't really know how to best explain it, you have to look at the picture. I do know that it looks awesome.

The energy from this drink is outstanding. I had it about 5 hours ago, and i'm still feeling good. When i first tore into this energy fiend, i immediately felt the effects. i guess its just something about combining COFFEE and ENERGY DRINK that makes it a kick you wont soon forget. Though it could be better described as a slow wave of energy. It wasn't so much an instant gratification thing, as a slowly building energy buzz. sure, i felt the buzz as soon as i took my first drink, but it casually, almost unnoticeably built up over time, till i was halfway through with the can, when i realized how hyped up i was.

Overall, this is my favorite flavor of Java Monster, and i definitely suggest it to anyone who hasn't tried it.

Monster Energy: Lo-Carb

Will:
The Lo-Carb variation of Monster is... different. It has the same traditional monster energy flavor, but somewhat subdued. Its sort of like a watered down version of Original. I don't really see the point for an energy drink to produce a low carb version; its basically taking out the manliness of an energy drink. But then again, theres people out there who cant have a lot of carbs, so i guess it makes sense. Anyway, apparently carbs add a lot to the flavor of Monster, because the version without carbs just isn't the same. Other than the watered down taste, Lo-Carb is is mostly identical to Original.

One of the things i like best about the Monster Energy can design is its flexibility. To add a new flavor, all they need to do is change the color of the M logo in the middle. I think this adds a sort of collectible quality to it. If you have every color of can, all lined up, the result looks truly cool.

The energy of the Lo-Carb version really isn't too much different from that of the Original. Of course, as always with the low carb versions of drinks, the energy does take a slight hit. But its not so much to where its a really big negative.

Overall, while Lo-Carb Monster isn't my first choice or energy drink, not for its taste or its buzz, its still another quality product made my the Monster Energy company.

Monster Energy: Original

Will:
Since this is my first post on our new website, its only fair that I review my personal favorite energy drink.  Of course, this is the original Monster Energy Drink.  This was the first energy drink i ever tried, and it was love at first taste.  First of all, i love the can. Its simple, yet awesome design really stands out among other energy drinks. The design is simple: a plain black can, with three ripped stripes forming an M, with the words "Monster Energy" underneath. The M was, and still is, my favorite logo for any product i've seen yet.

Now to the taste. Monster Original has a very unique taste, much different from other drinks. Only a select few other drinks have ever come close to replicating the unique flavor i've come to call the "taste of Monster". It is a simple, yet delicious taste, wich is present in all of their varients and flavors. It is most present though, in the Original. This makes it the number one energy drink i have tasted.

The energy buzz from Monster Energy isn't as huge as i would have hoped from my favorite energy drink, but it is nothing to be laughed at. While it may be lacking in the huge, jittery, energizing blast, it is still a decent eye-opener. It is enough to fuel me on my late nights hanging out with friends, and all of our crazy stupid activities.
